Fall is magical............Boo to you!

I tried to get Fall/Halloween decorations out......before Griffin got up last weekend.............not to be outdone.........he got up earlier than usual and HELPED! What could have taken 2 hours took all day,,,, but that was half the fun.........after all , it's all for the little ones! He is so excited about the fall pumpkins, scarecrows, lights and leaves.....what else matters?

It is a wonderful thing............we have a children's librarian who reads stories at the local coffee shop (yahoo) on Monday and Thursday mornings.........so we make sure we are there in time on a Thursday..........and typical,,,,,,,Becky style.....the storyteller/reader/librarian is not there because her daughter is sick.............bummer.........no story/no coffee! So I promised "librarian"....what to do now??? We cruise the square and land at the Scurry County Library....when we walk in.....Griffin "loudly" says..........Excuse me....can you help me with "train" books........I thought the librarian was going to jump the desk........she dropped everything and quickly pointed us in the right direction.

This is a milestone................I love reading............Daddy loves reading..........and we hope that Griffin will as well.................here goes.......................................

The garden is looking a little "iffy"........tomatoes are slowly fading, but okra is going strong.....
I have cut and frozen many many bags of okra for this winter, yummy, will be a special treat when it's 30 degrees and below,,,,,brrr!!!!
But on the other hand, the elephant ears are going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lady with the "many" hats just wants to "chill" in my all time favorite spot, with my hazelnut coffee, my Southern Living magazine (dreaming about a getaway) , and searching for a new recipe for dinner.................................who thinks this could happen?????

Toddler and Teen Tag Along............

I can honestly say that each and every day just seems to get fuller and fuller and the time goes by so very fast! I wouldn't trade the "busy" hustle and bustle of trying to juggle my many hats! I am currently, a playmate (for the baby that is!), ha, ha....a student driver instructor.........a college soccer Mom (who would have ever thought it!)........a gardener and tomato canner.....a math and reading tutor to six very special local kiddos.............a new landlord (we rented my Mama's house to a wonderful lady who teaches at the high school, thanks Dana)...........and a laundry lady and short order cook on a daily/hourly basis! Whew,,,,,,,,no wonder I can't get ahead and paint the front door with a big blue circle drawn on it~!

A two and a half year old toddler that will catch your eye, melt your heart and talk you to death all at once.............................he loves his big brothers~!

Summer bummers times two........................

As summer winds down and the days get shorter and the evenings get cooler, thank God! We've had a couple of scares with insects and bar stools............yes Griffin was just swimming away with his floaties and a wasp dove right down and bit him on the eyelid......the same eye that he had a black eye from for two weeks! Poor pitiful little eye............it was scary and sad...........he cried for a solid hour and then had a swollen shut eye for two days......................

The boy must take after his middle brother.........because if someone is going to get hurt I think it must be my brood....................

Last weekend at the Fantasy Football Draft the fun came to a screeching halt when Griffin toppled off of a barstool onto a tile floor literally hitting the top of his head and chopping some blond "locks" off! We took him to the E.R. because he immediately threw up..........I have never been so scared in all my days....but thank you God he is just fine..no concussion..........no scars..........just a patch of chopped hair!

Everyone is always saying either "cut that boy's hair".........or "he has the prettiest hair I've ever seen"...........well this is not the way to loose it!

Check out the eye! What next? No really, that's not funny!

No that's not "another" black eye, it's a wasp sting on the "black eye". Poor baby, he can't catch a break!

This is pitiful! And I know that it hurt like crazy, he took it like a champ!
I HATE THOSE FLYING BITING WASPS!
