I tried to get Fall/Halloween decorations out......before Griffin got up last weekend.............not to be outdone.........he got up earlier than usual and HELPED! What could have taken 2 hours took all day,,,, but that was half the fun.........after all , it's all for the little ones! He is so excited about the fall pumpkins, scarecrows, lights and leaves.....what else matters?

It is a wonderful thing............we have a children's librarian who reads stories at the local coffee shop (yahoo) on Monday and Thursday mornings.........so we make sure we are there in time on a Thursday..........and typical,,,,,,,Becky style.....the storyteller/reader/librarian is not there because her daughter is sick.............bummer.........no story/no coffee! So I promised "librarian"....what to do now??? We cruise the square and land at the Scurry County Library....when we walk in.....Griffin "loudly" says..........Excuse me....can you help me with "train" books........I thought the librarian was going to jump the desk........she dropped everything and quickly pointed us in the right direction.

This is a milestone................I love reading............Daddy loves reading..........and we hope that Griffin will as well.................here goes.......................................

The garden is looking a little "iffy"........tomatoes are slowly fading, but okra is going strong.....
I have cut and frozen many many bags of okra for this winter, yummy, will be a special treat when it's 30 degrees and below,,,,,brrr!!!!
But on the other hand, the elephant ears are going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lady with the "many" hats just wants to "chill" in my all time favorite spot, with my hazelnut coffee, my Southern Living magazine (dreaming about a getaway) , and searching for a new recipe for dinner.................................who thinks this could happen?????
