Field Trip! On the go.........

Abilene Zoo is amazing.  Just big enough to get your fill

of exotic animals and a good walk.  You can even feed the giraffes

from a tall bridge!  

Magic Man..........How does he do it???????

We went to a "magical" birthday party with a real magician and the party favors

were hats, capes and magic "trick" toys!

Well.............this proves it takes a little magic along with a lot of hard work

to do such great school work!  For a little boy who didn't want to recite his ABC's in full

or sit down with mommy and learn to write "G" for Griffin......I think he's got it!

Thank you Mrs. Smith for working your "magic" with Griffin!

Growing Up Is Hard To Do...............

WHO?  WHAT?  WHEN?  WHERE?  WHY?  HOW?

Some of you already know this story.....but it's worth posting!

One Saturday morning I awoke to a little boy with a one sided mullet!!!!!!!

Before panic set in..........he says "Don't worry Mommy, I walked with this scissors pointing down!!

Okay it goes like this!

Who?  Griffin

What?  Took it upon himself to cut one side of his hair OFF!!!

When?  After being tucked into bed......while I'm enjoying my warm bath.

Where?  Upstairs bathroom/downstairs trash compactor.

Why?  Because Grandma didn't brush that side of his hair YESTERDAY!

How?  With the "grown" up scissors!!!

Found in the trash!  This beautiful blond blob of silky perfect

curly baby hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And...........the dreaded "little boy haircut".  I'll have to admit it I knew it was coming one day!

Just not this dramatic of an entrance.

Chilly cold front......mind begins to wander..........

Straight back to our favorite winter spot!!!

Vail, Colorado............just love everything about it...

weather, yummy food, shopping, reading the Vail Daily, breakfast at a slow pace,

bloody marys, scarves, boots, snuggling, active people.........

just daydreaming on this chilly March morning.............

Does this Mom look happy???  At least Griffin stopped for a quick hug before heading

back up!

Geared up!  Right after I snapped this.......he collapsed!

This is why!!!!!!!  They are in their element!  Beaver Creek Colorado in front of the

Buckaroo Express!!!!!!  Yep!!!!  Wore that gondola out!

Griffin is skiing by himself down the "big" hill!  What a guy!!!

Those tears that Mom shed for a couple of years while leaving him at ski lessons

when he was 3  1/2 have paid off!!!!!

Way to go Griffin!
