Birthday Bash........off to Albany!!!!!!!!!

I can't help but get excited when it's my birthday.......just because......no not the added year of wisdom or the added wrinkle here and there or the pressure of "how am I doing juggling it all?"..........no, it's the anticipation of being with the ones that I love and celebrating!  My sweet hubby planned a special dinner outing "roadtrip" to Albany.....if you live in West Texas and haven't visited the famous eatery and cantina............must I say........get in the car and floor it!!!!

You must visit The Beehive at Fort Griffin ( I am serious!  Fort Griffin)....that was my first real clue , this place is top notch!!!!!!!!  Go on line and read about their story........the food is fabulous..........the atmosphere is inspiring and fun....and it makes you feel like you have "been out of town"............they are known for their prime rib dishes and Thursday night "shrimp" extravaganza...still waiting to try that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Let me know when you visit and let's oooohh and aaaahh together................chow!

My first b-day surprise!  Beautiful daffodils from my in-laws backyard..........Griffin picked them himself and put them into a beautiful vase...........so special!

OMG!!!!!!  My sweet baby child (brilliant boy #3) signed my special birthday note himself..........I love that's it's upside down.......now he comes by that quite honestly!!!!!!!!!

I just really love this time of the year! Spring is in the air. Leaving the screen doors open in the a.m. and at night. Putting away winter gear and getting out spring clothes. Trying to do a little "spring" cleaning everyday....whether it be a drawer, a closet, a toy box or the frig. And now I can add to the list!!!!!!!!!!!! Washing mud off of every shoe, changing clothes a couple of times a day, moving hoses and thinking of reasons not to go into the front yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Instead of flowers around our beautiful little willow tree, we now have a messy mud pit! Oh , but what fun! And I have to admit..............I made many mud pies back in my day!

Wow, I almost missed it! And we had an extra day...........yes leap "day" and I still can't get around to posting on a regular basis............well these pics say it all! Needless to say, I am one busy Mommy, Popsicle maker, Cookie baker, College counselor, Sister painter, Aging dog caretaker, Major home repair overseer ( is that a word?), Laundry magician and a pretty good "recipe" collector! Loving life around the Cypert household..........hope February was full of "love" for all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas Memories.........................2011

"Santa" and I can't wait to get home after the Christmas Eve festivities and really get down to it! We each have our expertise............"Santa" arranges the many special gifts and makes each boy's area look spectacular and fun! "Mrs. Claus" gets busy with stockings, last minute forgotten hidden gifts, and cookies and milk! We are proud of our accomplishments.........and exhausted and excited all the same time..........this year was especially fun..........and a little"romantic" and sweet with the newly fallen snow that started coming down just as we started out task! We giggled and awed over the excitement of Christmas morning.........coming very soon.............goodnight to you all!!

On the first day of Christmas............................

As tradition would have it, we enjoyed the Christmas service at church..........and onto Mammee and Gran's for a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner of Mexican food from our favorite restaurant Spanish Inn.........yummy , everyone always looks forward to this special treat and we hope the tradition continues..............minus that extra, extra, extra hot sauce our friend included! Ouch!!!!

We then settled down to enjoy the neat and exciting gifts that each of us had to give to one another. Griffin hit the jackpot and unwrapped, threw away his trash and organized his many gifts in a fine fashion!

We were extremely excited to open our Christmas card and included in it was a very generous gift of new wood flooring for our home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
