A Senior Moment..................Literally!

SENIORITIS........................there is such a thing.......

In making plans for Preston's senior pictures, we only thought it was appropriate and "full circle" that we ask a dear family friend to take them.....she is a renowned photographer and actually took the shots of Preston when he was 7 and signed on with a talent agency in Dallas....he modeled for 6 years and appeared in several national ad campaigns and many catalogs as well as print advertising in both magazines and newspapers........he also landed two toy commercials......before deciding he had "better" things to do.......it was fun and a life learning experience for both of us............anyhoo! This sweet friend agreed to drive out to our little town and photograph Preston in his "favorite" spots.......she did a fabulous job as you can see........and gave us the latest copy of her book that she photographed and has published with a chef in Ft. Worth........wow , it is in it's 3rd printing.......and you can buy it at Barnes and Nobles.....I have already cooked a couple of the recipes and they are "out of this world"! I will share later!





It all started about 3 weeks ago........panic mode........senior pictures, announcements, activity planning............meetings..........digging up baby pictures.........completing community hours..............digging down deep for study hours............meaningful "talks" from favorite teachers............no it isn't sad........it's very exciting.......a new chapter is opening up........for Preston and 150 other senior students at Snyder High School............congrats!!!!!

Spinning, spinning, keep control..........................

The Mexico getaway was heaven on earth...........sand, sun, good food, meeting interesting people, and some alone time with my hubby.....not a bad gig! But forced back into reality on Tues. morning..............by a cancelled flight the night before, was a shocker! We missed the boys so so so bad.....and had never been away from Griffin for more than 24 hours, this tested our endurance and patience to the max! It's been years since I actually wore the same clothes twice! Yes, those of you who know me, know this is a no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post pictures very soon! This week has been full of graduation plans, baby play, Bryce's second round of strep throat, tutoring students, baby play, planning garden, baby play, etc.............................

I wouldn't change a thing, but I will admit it is wonderful to slow down every once in a while and let sun, sand and simplicity fill your soul............I'm renewed!
