Calling Dr. Mommy!!!

Griffin woke up night before last coughing (barking) his head off......scary, couldn't catch his breath! So needless to say.......we loaded up and headed to the pediatrician in Lubbock....sure enough he has a bad case of the croop, (sp), do kids really get that anymore???? So....here we go again with breathing treatments and steroids (which I am "iffy" about).....he puts on this pediatric mask and wears it like a champ! Am I lucky or what? He is a gem!



Sick, sick baby, but still waving and happy! Amazing.....he is a trooper!

My biggest and most exciting ooooooohhhhhh and aaaaaaaaaaaaahhh for the week! Our new Canon Rebel XSI camera! Once I learn all the ins and outs about it, hopefully you will see a difference in my photos! Can't wait to "really" try it out!!!!!!!!!!

Too Late To Think.......................

Quiet time is rare around our house, but when it hits, it hits hard...........makes me think of times past and times ahead and how exciting each and every day is no matter what mess, what conflict, what joy we run into! Aren't we lucky to experience the seasons? Aren't we lucky to have family and friends wrapped around us at any given moment? Aren't we lucky to have space to roam and homes to cozy up in to? My 2010 goal is to try and be aware of unique moments each day and slow down to enjoy them. It seems that we, Moms, are always saying.....hurry up..........get in.........eat your dinner...........bring down dirty clothes..........show me your homework.......drive careful............sit on the rug (Griffin)...........call me............etc............! I will try and give more credit where credit is due and be patient and wait for the right behavior, comment or action. I feel I have so much to give.............wish there was more "time" to give it! The days go by so fast.........it's true what they say........."don't wish your life away." Just take it in stride.................Happy 2010~

I think Griffin had too many of these beautiful sugar cookies that my niece Madi and I made.........they really were tasty too~! Cold weather brings on the cooking frenzies around here and this was a fun one!

Bryce shot his deer on New Year's Eve..........thank goodness the meat processing place was open that day in C-City! It was an 8 point buck shot in Polar around sun up..........very cold, cold, cold day!!! Way to go Bryce....the great hunter!!!! Summer sausage coming our way!
